First build your product for the blind

Your appโ€™s accessibility is not an after-thought, it is a core metric of a well designed product.
If you close your eyes, could you use your website?
ย
WCAG, or Web Content Accessibility Guidelines have four major considerations for websites
Principle 1ย โ€“ Perceivable Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive. Principle 2ย โ€“ Operable User interface components and navigation must be operable. Principle 3ย โ€“ Understandable Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable. Principle 4ย โ€“ Robust Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.
ย
How many times have you seen a good looking website that is completely useless? Focus first on the userโ€™s intention, their expectations and the affordances they are going to use to get the value they expect.
